During operation of solid fuel boilers, fireplaces and stoves, the surfaces of the chimney and combustion chamber are covered with soot, tar and other deposits. This results in the reduction of draught and efficiency of heating units, ignition of soot and carbon monoxide leaks in the premises. Periodic checks of the draught, pollution intensity and regular cleaning of the chimney will help to avoid the problems described above.
The Savent 130 mm metal brush for chimney cleaning easily removes soot, tar and other deposits from chimney walls. It is made of high quality carbon steel. The brush bristles are made of 0,5 mm diameter oxidized spring wire and are sandwiched between four 4 mm diameter galvanized rods. The brush has an M12 thread on one end and a ring on the other end for attaching a rope or cord.
Due to the robust and flexible design, with the help of the metal brush you can quickly and efficiently clean any chimney, except for stainless steel chimneys. To avoid damage to a stainless steel chimney, we recommend to clean these types of chimneys with a plastic brush.
